Greg sits down with writer/artist Ibrahim Moustafa on the eve of the release of Count, a sci-fi re-imagining of Alexandre Dumas' classic revenge tale The Count of Monte Cristo. This book is also the first offering in a 3-book deal with Humanoids Moustafa signed with the publisher last year.
Greg talks with Ibrahim about the transition from artist to writer/artist, what part of the art process is his favorite, desert island James Bond recommendations, what three Humanoids releases he would gladly take off the publisher's hands Criterion Closet-style, the bittorent of influences, how being a Portland-based cartoonist helped his career, and who wins when Ibrahim the writer tells Ibrahim the artist to draw crowd scenes. All that and more on today's episode!
