Robots From Tomorrow!

With the release of his Oni graphic novel this week, writer Chad Bowers stops by the subterranean recording lair to give us the pitch, answer some questions, and help us make heads and/or tails of comics hitting your comic shop this April. That’s right -- it’s another look into comics’ future a la Previews. But Chad not only ups the chances of you, the listener, hearing about something new and worth your time/money for April’s comics by about 1,000% (or so; I was told there’d be no math), but he also tells us who the template for Down Set Fight’s main character was, why Scott Kowalchuk is the perfect artist to bring this football-coated action crime goodie to life, and what he and co-writer Chris Sims have planned for another book of theirs hitting the digital stands this week: Subatomic Party Girls #3. We put Chad through the RFT gauntlet; does he make it out alive? Have a listen and find out!

Today we are joined form across the Black Atlantic by writer Rob Williams! Rob's knee deep in all sorts of new comics work, so there's a lot to cover. He's currently writing the weekly Judge Dredd stip for 2000 AD, getting ready to launch new creator owned mini series at Titan and Vertigo, and helping reintroduce Marvel UK characters to the world. Rob is an incredibly inventive writer who's worked with some of the best artists out there, and we are glad he was able to carve out a little time to talk with us.
